MOSCOW (Reuters) -A Russian helicopter with three crew members and 19 passengers on board has gone lacking within the far jap peninsula of Kamchatka, the emergencies ministry stated on Saturday.
The Mi-8T helicopter took off from a base close to the Vachkazhets volcano and the crew didn’t report on the scheduled time of 04:00 GMT, Interfax information company reported, citing the federal air transport company.
The emergencies ministry stated the search and rescue operation was being hampered by thick fog within the space.
Kamchatka, which is 9 hours forward of Moscow, is a well-liked vacationer vacation spot, identified for its pristine rivers, geysers and volcanoes.
