Final week the Census Bureau reported New Residence Gross sales in July had been at a seasonally adjusted annual charge (SAAR) of 739 thousand. The earlier three months had been revised up sharply, mixed.

The following graph reveals new dwelling gross sales for 2023 and 2024 by month (Seasonally Adjusted Annual Charge). Gross sales in July 2024 had been up 21.3% from July 2023.New dwelling gross sales, seasonally adjusted, have elevated year-over-year in 15 of the final 16 months.
