Rangers supervisor Philippe Clement has come out preventing and defended his place after followers protested throughout their defeat at Kilmarnock on Sunday.
Clement insists the membership are heading in the right direction and expects a great response towards Steaua Bucharest within the Europa League on Thursday.
Clement’s defence of his place comes after former Rangers striker Kris Boyd mentioned the membership was going backwards and a great distance from difficult for the title.
Their newest defeat noticed Rangers slip six factors behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic and Aberdeen.
Clement mentioned: “Followers usually are not blissful now. They don’t seem to be blissful after the final consequence. They have been blissful after [Rangers won 2-0 at] Malmo [in September], for instance, so it goes up and down. It is about creating consistency once more. Creating momentum once more.
“We’re working actually arduous… to make it as quick as potential again within the degree this membership was perhaps 12,15 years in the past. Or in moments within the final couple of years. That takes time.
“That was one of many decrease days for certain towards Kilmarnock. Me, the gamers, workers, followers no person was pleased with the extent of efficiency and for certain with the consequence.
“It’s about reacting now towards Steaua Bucharest and I have a lot of confidence in this squad for the short term and the long term also.
“You need to switch your mindset and look forward and you want to react as fast as possible. That’s what’s going on in the dressing room and the same with me.
“People who find themselves not blissful now, I perceive. They have been in all probability actually pleased with me six months in the past or 9 months in the past – I am nonetheless the identical man working now. I am working even a lot tougher than I did at that second as a result of there’s way more to be performed.”
‘Just get yourself up the tunnel!’
During Rangers’ defeat to Kilmarnock, supporters held up banners, including one calling for perceived mismanagement at the club to stop.
Boyd has argued the club is going backwards, telling The Football Show on Sky Sports News: “I do not suppose even the most important Rangers fan on this planet would say there’s a chance of difficult Celtic proper now.
“Rangers have got to do a lot more than they did on Sunday. And the pressure’s only going to mount because it doesn’t take a lot when you’re already under-performing.
“Then at the end when the players are going to clap the fans – they don’t want to see it. Just get yourself up the tunnel! It’s been another poor performance, get yourself up the tunnel, get dusted down, and ready to go again on Thursday.
“These followers pay some huge cash to journey to away grounds, journey to European ties, they need to see performances. They don’t seem to be fascinated about seeing gamers come as much as the 18-yard field and clapping them and saying sorry.
“They want to see performances on the pitch. You go and do that and they’ll back you. If you don’t then you’re in big trouble.”
