Jose Mourinho was unable to cover his frustration after being despatched off throughout Fenerbahce’s draw with Manchester United on Thursday.
The previous Man Utd boss was despatched to the stands halfway by the second half as tempers flared after the hosts have been denied a penalty with the sport poised at 1-1.
On the incident, Mourinho instructed TNT: “I don’t want to speak about it.”
On going to see the referee, Mourinho added: “He told me something incredible. At the same time, he could see the action in the box and my behaviour on the touchline.
“I congratulate him as a result of he is completely unimaginable.
“In the course of the recreation, at 100 miles per hour, he had one eye on the penalty scenario, and he had one eye on the bench and on my behaviour.
“That is the reason he gave me. That is why he is among the greatest referees on the earth.
Pressed on if he has seen the incident again: “I watched the incident. I don’t want to speak about it.”
