LONDON (Reuters) -British law enforcement officials carried out a managed explosion close to the U.S. embassy in south London following the invention of a suspect package deal, authorities mentioned on Friday.
“We can confirm that the ‘loud bang’ reported in the area a short time ago was a controlled explosion carried out by officers,” London’s Metropolitan Police mentioned on X.
“Enquiries are still ongoing and cordons will remain in place for the time being.”
The police drive mentioned in an earlier assertion that they had been investigating a suspect package deal and had put up cordons within the space south of the River Thames, including that they had been conscious of hypothesis on-line concerning the incident.
